Welcome to Marudhara College (A Unit of Marudhara Group Of Education)

Civil Engineering deptt. is the oldest branch of Engineering. In starting all the Engg. branches are covered by this deptt. But with the passage of time various branches are departed from this deptt due to need of specialization. Now this branch includes very interested and very important fields of Engg., some of them are Building Construction , Highway Engg., Irrigation Engg., Water supply & waste water Engg., Transport Engg., Soil Engg., Railway, Bridges and Tunnel Engg. and many others.

In civil Engg. all the above engg.field having three stages named as Architectural work, design work, Execution work. Effective application of these work stages gives the appreciated completion of project. In architecture Engg. all the planning and detailed drawings are prepared according to the specification and after this design work is started in which all design factor like force, loads, stresses, natural factor, importance, requirements are involves.

After the completion of planning and design work execution work is started where the work is actually executed or done. The techniques and forms of execution of the entire project like building construction, Road or highway construction, railway and bridges construction, lay out of water supply system has revolutionary changes at the hands of civil engineers. So civil Engg. having importance in all the projects like accommodation, physical comfort, good appearance, infrastructures etc.

Civil Engineering is a Professional Engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. Civil Engineering is the oldest Engg. discipline after Military Engg. It is traditionally broken it into different discipline including Env. Engg. , Structural Engg. , Transportation Engg. , Water Resource Engg. , Geotechnical Engg., Material Engg. , Survey Engg and Construction Engg. . Civil Engg. takes places on all levels in the public sector and private sector.

Departmental Labs of Civil Engineering

  1. Survey Lab
  2. Transportation Lab.
  3. Concrete Lab
  4. Water supply and Waste Water Engg. Lab
  5. Structure Mechanics Lab
  6. Soil and Foundation Lab
  7. Building Drawing Lab
  8. Computer Aided Design Lab
  9. Fluid Mechanics Lab.

Survey Lab:- Through this lab students do the practical work related to the survey engg. For practical work various types of instruments are available such as transit theodolite ,digital theodolite pantagraph, levels and measuring type instruments .

Water Supply and Waste Water Engg. Lab :-This lab provides the information about the various property of water . In this lab experiments are conducted to test the property of drinking and waste water .for conducting the various tests by instruments such as water analysis kit, B.O.D incubator ,colony counter, six jar test apparatus.

Structure Mechanics Lab:- This Lab provides the information about the various properties of material such as elasticity ,plasticity ,toughness, ductility and brittleness.
